A wonderful water sampling/watersports day on Lough Corrib with Transition Year students from Coláiste Iognáid (The Jes) and Dominican College, Taylor’s Hill. These students are undertaking the Watersport4green project sampling water quality and advocating for cleaner waterbodies so that we can all benefit from a clean and thriving Corrib.
Corrib Beo’s education pillar, EcoEd4All offer Transition Year students the opportunity to engage with nature and conduct habitat surveys, to log local biodiversity data, to conduct water sampling surveys and lots more besides, all encompassing the Corrib Catchment area.
Huge thanks to Local Authority Waters Programme for all their support to date.
Also a very big thanks to Jim and Tim of Kayakmor for their hugely professional and engaging session today.
Thanks to Gráinne Mhaol Rowing Club and Galway Hooker Sailing Club for access to The Boathouse facilities for this outdoor classroom session.
